The GWS Federal Practice Division is the newest of the GWS divisions. The FPD’s mission is to provide innovative financial services solutions into the Federal Government Market. Governments undertake a range of common activities. The businesses and administrative challenges they face to improve the delivery of public services are also similar. These issues and trends are driven by:

• Democratic pressure for increased transparency and accountability in government.
   
• Consumer pressure for improved delivery of public services
   
• Cost pressure to provide more and better infrastructure and services, more efficiently

The GWS commitment to this practice is extensive. In 2005 we plan to double our resources within this market segment. And though this is new practice area for GWS, it builds off of the vast experience GWS has in the State & Local Government market.
